Paul E. Ausbrooks, 81, of Benton died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Grace Health Care. He was born September 7, 1927 in Mayflower, AR to the late James T. and Lillie Mae Hooks Ausbrooks.
Paul served in the U. S. Army, worked for Reynolds Metals,and was retired from Coors Tek, but for most of his career he worked as an auto mechanic. In addition to his parents, his son, Garry Ausbrooks also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fern Ausbrooks of Benton; three sons, Larry Ausbrooks and wife, Pat of Bryant, Mike Ausbrooks and wife, Andrea of Sardis, and Ronnie Ausbrooks of Conway; two daughters, Kaye Tinkle and husband, Stephen of Cabot and Teresa Garner and husband, Garland of Sardis; two sisters, Hazel Bell of Cabot and Doris Newell and husband, Henry of Eight Mile, AL; grandchildren, Michele Tyrrell and husband, Ty, Scott Ausbrooks and wife, Jami, Laura Bourne and husband, Brian, Steve Ausbrooks, Helen Duplechain and husband, Shawn, Jennifer James and husband, Brian, Kenny Garner, Jason Garner and wife, Kristi, Angela Mashburn and husband Wesley, Mike W. Ausbrooks, Tom Ausbrooks, B. J. Ausbrooks, and Keaton Ausbrooks; nineteen great-grandchildren; one niece, Jeanne James and husband, Bill of Cabot, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Bro. Joe Campbell officiating.
Interment will follow in New Rosemont Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Ty Tyrrell, Mike W. Ausbrooks, Brian James, Kenny Garner, Scott Ausbrooks, Jason Garner, Brian Bourne, and Steve Ausbrooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Rogers, B. J. Ausbrooks, Keaton Ausbrooks, and Tom Ausbrooks.
Visitation is from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon July 5th at the funeral home.
