Tabitha Lou Phillips, 57, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was born on June 12, 1951 at Tulsa, Oklahoma, a daughter of Gene Combs and Ludie Pavey Combs. She was a member of Our Lady of The Holy Souls Catholic Church, a volunteer at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center and a lifetime member of St. Vincent Auxiliary.
She was a retired teacher and principal for Little Rock School District, a former member of AEA and NEA, Arkansas Association Elementary School Principals, an alumni of the University of Arkansas, and a member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. She was an active member in Junior Tennis in Arkansas for her son Ryan. She was an avid Razorback Fan, and a voracious reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Phillips and son Ryan Phillips both of Little Rock; an aunt, Dean Bell of Collinsville, Oklahoma; and cousins, Cherry Cash, Chris Brown, Ken Howard, and Fred Bell, all of Collinsville, Oklahoma; Carlitta Howard of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Billy Bell of Chesapeake, Virginia.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501)224-8300. Interment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2008.
