Chuck you were loved by many, but to my family not only were you loved very much (and will always) you were a brother to my sisters and I. You were an Uncle to our children, and a son to our father. We are greatful for the second chance that God gave our family to spend time with you. You made my sister happier than she has ever been, both times your lives were intertwined. It was wonderful to watch you guys together, the love that you two shared was very special and very evident by the way you two looked at each other. She will always love and miss you as the rest of us will. You were a good friend to me, I miss the calls we would have just to throw jokes back and forth. You will be forever loved and missed by many espcially your Ashburn Family. I pray for your family everyday, your son little Will, your mother and also your Aunt you talked so much of. Take care brother and have plenty of jokes ready for me when I see you again!!!!

I have known Chuck most of my life, we met when I was only fifteen and I have loved him ever since. He was a wonderful husband (although entirely too brief), and friend to me for many years through many storms. He was a wonderful father to his precious son, Will whom I also have grown to love very much. A day will not pass that he will not be on my mind and in my heart. I have loved him all of my life, and I will continue to, only now I will have to miss his voice, his laughter, and his touch. Chuck was a wonderful friend to many people, and in return he had many wonderful friends. I would like to thank all of you for all of your kindness, prayers and support. Mrs. Charles C. Boone

"Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people who's lives they saved!" quote by: Susan Diane Murphree A fireman saved my life once, but alas, I fell in love with a cop! (And he almost got me killed.) All who dedicate their lives to save others at risk of their own are usually forgotten and unsung heroes.I did not know Mr. Boone, personally, but he seemed a very nice man.Firefighting has to be a very demanding and selfless job.I would think, that like all deaths of persons that so many people count on, it is hardest on the wives and immediate families left behind who will startle every time they hear a siren. Condolences from a former Memphian, born Marianaian (Ola McElduff's grandaughter), Susan Diane Murphree and son Chance Halley Murphree P.S. - I saw the raggedy old firetruck that had the broken axle go by when I was picking jonquils beside the highway a few years ago and I think its wonderful we have beautiful, new equipment thanks to Chuck & all the firedept who worked hard to learn how to use it!

I am very saddened by the death of such a wonderful young man. Chuck was such an amazing attribute to the life of everyone his life crossed paths with. He and my brother were the same age and when my brother (Robert Hamilton-31) passed from cancer Chuck went above and beyond what any normal business owner would've done by taking back without cost to us the brand new 4 wheeler Robbie had purchased so as to lessen the monetary strain his death was going to put on my parents. It was such a nice thing for him to do and we are and were very much appreciative. It's hard to find the reasoning behind any young person losing their life and I'm not going to pretend to have the answers but I can relate to your pain and the sense of emptiness you are feeling. God only takes the ones who are ready you can say He only picks the most perfect Roses for His garden. And I know that Chuck adds a beautiful glow to God's bouquet, may you find Peace in your memories and God's love. Sincerely,Annette Hamilton, Sharye (Hamilton) & Phillip Burrow, Romey & Vira Byrd, and (Robbie's girls)Beth & Megan Hamilton
