Rachel Danielle Shadid

Rachel Danielle Shadid, 19, of North Little Rock began her heavenly walk with her Lord and Savior on July 7, 2007. She was born May 20, 1988 to Stephen M. and Brenda K. Shadid of North Little Rock. The youngest of three children, Rachel was a sophomore at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

Rachel was everything that a daughter, sister, cousin, or friend could be. Her special gifts and abilities were well known and cherished by all who knew her. She was everybody’s “Rachie” and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded to heaven by her paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Imogene Shadid of North Little Rock and her maternal grandmother, Kathryn Teasley of Hot Springs Village.

She leaves behind (temporarily) her loving, parents, Stephen M. and Brenda K. Shadid of North Little Rock, her faithful, but grieving brothers, Christian Jerrod Shadid and Kyle Shadid. Other bereaved family is her grandfather, Delmer Teasley of Mashfield, MO. Her aunts and uncles: Maneta and Joel Kimball of Nixa, MO; Mike and Stephanie Teasley of Springfield, MO; Larry and Clarice Shadid of Las Vegas, NV; Cynthia and Jimmy Maddox of Germantown, TN; Michael and Joy Shadid of North Little Rock. Rachel’s cousins, Stephanie Maddox of Cordova, TN; Daniel (Jennifer) Maddox of Los Angeles, CA; Doug Shadid and Chris Shadid of Las Vegas, NV; Mika Shadid (Carson) Tucker of North Little Rock; and Sammi Shadid of North Little Rock; Michael Kimball, Josh Kimball and Danny Kimball of Nixa, MO; Rachel Horner and Sara Horner of Springfield, MO. Rachel also leaves behind a host of friends and Sorority Sisters left to wonder why but determined to love her still.

All of her family and friends join in a choir of Thanks to God for the precious gift of “Our Angel” who now is “His Angel.”

We’re gonna miss us some Rachie!

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Fellowship Bible Church of North Little Rock at #1 East 52nd Place from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July11, 2007 at the Fellowship Bible Church North at 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following at Rest Hills Memorial Park, 7724 Landers Rd. North Little Rock. Arrangements made by Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400).
