Karrel Gene Fike, 77, of Rosie, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Manila, Arkansas on March 9, 1939 to Paul Abner and Willie Amy (Hays) Fike.
Karrel enjoyed fishing and hunting, going to flea markets on Saturdays, rock masonry, and beekeeping.
He especially loved being with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a retired stone mason and member of the Rosie Baptist Church.
Karrel is survived by his wife, Mae Elizabeth (Branscum) Fike; two sons, Harold Gene Fike and wife, Sandy, and Farrel Fike and wife, Lula; two daughters, Sheila Layton and husband, Ricky and Melanie Beeler and husband, Bruce, all of Rosie. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Ellis Fike, Paul Fike, and Danny Fike; and one sister, Cathy Parker all of Rosie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Bridgett Layton-Royal; a brother, Edwin Fike; and two sisters, Dorothy Beckum and Judy Fike.
Pallbearers are Buddy McBride, Dennis McBride, Tyler Beeler, Tyler Sandlin, Anthony Fike, Tad Fike, and Jeremy Cruz. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Muhammad Khan and Caring Hands Hospice.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Rosie Baptist Church with Bro. Farrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.

I was so sad to hear about Uncle Biddie's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
