Andrew Reid Wilcox, 88 of Mount Pleasant died Saturday, May 21, 2016.

He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1970, having flown in both the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Elizabeth Wilcox of Mount Pleasant; daughters, Heather Weiss of Oak Point, Texas, Sandra Robbins of Folsom, Louisiana and Robyn Wilcox of Costa Mesa, California; brother Rodney Wilcox of Gales Ferry, Connecticut; sister, Sally Rousseau of Deland, Florida; ; grandchildren, Matthew Weiss, Katie Robbins and Karen Robbins; daugher-in-law, Jeanie Wilcox; and sons-in-law Chuck Weiss and Brent Robbins. He was preceded in death by his son Reid Cameron Wilcox.

He was a member of a valued group of pilot friends he called "The Fly Group". He was a skilled and avid woodworker creating beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends. He enjoyed the sancuary of his home that he and his wife Doris created, surrounded by abundant wildlife and beauty.

A memorial will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
