Gail Frances Layne, 64, of Melbourne, died Thursday, at her home.

She was born on September 27, 1951 in Haverhill, Massachusetts to Edmond Nells and Dorothy Arlene (Flynn) Fredsbo. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Carl R. Layne of Melbourne.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edmond Fredsbo Jr.

A memorial service will be held in Haverhill, Massachusetts at a later date.

Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville was in charge of the arrangements.
