Harold Bibb Wilson, 82, of Batesville died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at White River Medical Center.
He was born December 6, 1932, in Batesville and was the son of Claude Nathaniel Wilson and Elmyrah Jane Bibb Wilson.
A 1950 graduate of Desha High School, Harold retired from Indco Cable TV in 2000. He was a member of the United States Army and retired from the U.S. Air National Guard in 1988 as a MSGT. A 32nd Degree Mason and past Grand Master of the Mt. Zion #10 Masonic Lodge, he was also a member of Centre Lodge #402, Batesville Kiwanis Club, Independence County American Red Cross, United Way, and NADC. He was on the Independence County Election Commission serving as chairman, member of the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce actively involved in the annual Christmas Parade and the White River Water Carnival parade and was a member of the White River Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary and many other civic organizations too numerous to mention. He served as a member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church of Batesville since 1960.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mae Lee Wilson; two sons: Harold Lee ''Sonny'' Wilson and his wife, Kitty (Skinner) of Batesville/Heber Springs and Dennis Keith Wilson and his wife, Cecelia (Rutledge) of Cabot; a sister, Elwanda Nash and her husband, Kenneth of Locust Grove; five grandchildren: Zeke Wilson and his wife, Brandi, Kitty Leigh Wilson Douglas and her husband, Monte, Jacob Tyler Wilson and his wife, Betsy, Cody Wilson and Cheyenne Wilson; and six great-grandchildren: Annalyse Wilson, Sabin Wilson and Lara Wilson, and Irelan Douglas, Jess Douglas and August Douglas. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sidney, Enoch and John Wilson; and three sisters, Mildred Johnson, Jo Alice McDannald and Tootsie McGaha.
There will be a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Dennis Keith Wilson and Harold Lee ''Sonny'' Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren: Zeke Wilson, Kitty Leigh Wilson Douglas, Jacob Tyler Wilson, Cody Wilson and Cheyenne Wilson, and grandson-in-law, Monte Douglas.
There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the funeral home.

Harold was a good friend for many years, I served with him in the Air National Guard. He was mentor to many of young troops, but especially to me. When the wife I stared having children he gave me great advice, that I will be passing along to other guys, it was spot on. Sorry for your loss I know he will be missed.

There are not enough words to describe what a great man Harold was to his family, friends and community. He was a great friend to me and always had time to visit and share stories. I will miss him greatly!
Sonny, Kitty & family, so sorry to hear about Harold's passing. Harold was such a kind & gentle person. I pray God will have his hands upon your entire family @ this sad time for you all.
