Ada Raye Hicks, 86, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, formerly of Batesville, died Monday in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

She was born on December 16, 1928 in Newark, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Mark and Ottie Webb Moore.

Ada was married to William Wade Hicks for 66 years before his death. They made their home in Batesville where she worked at the CIT Corp and County Extension office for several years. For many years, she enjoyed collecting antiques; enjoyed her flowers and always had a very neat yard. Ada always made you feel welcome in her home and enjoyed serving meals whether it was to family or someone in need. She always had a radiant smile and warm personality, was a Christian, and member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son, Gary Wade Hicks and his fiancé April Rockerfellow of Grand Blanc, Michigan; one grandson, Daniel Hicks of Searcy, AR; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Harold Moore of Conway, AR, and a sister, Medrith Anschultz and her husband, Lannas, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Wade Hicks; a granddaughter, Rachael Hicks; and a grandson, David Hicks; a brother, John Lewis Moore; and a sister, Carolyn Sexson.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Mitchell Covington, Tom German, and Chris Anschultz officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers are Joe Bill Baker, Gayle Collier, Collie Shaw, Randy Taylor, Wayne New and Mike Mitchell.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, on Saturday, November 7, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Harrison Street Church of Christ, 1536 Harrison St., Batesville, AR 72501.
