Richard Lynn Reeve, 67, of Batesville, died Friday morning at White River Medical Center.
Born in St. Louis, MO on January 23, 1948 and was the son of Harry Joseph Reeve and Wanda June (Bearden) Reeve. A veteran of the Viet Nam War, he was a third generation violin maker and master violin bow maker. He was of the Nazarene faith.
Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Thomas) Reeve of Batesville; his mother, Wanda June Reeve, of Batesville; two daughters, Katharine Light and her husband, Jason Light of Batesville, and Margaret Griffin and her husband, Lee Griffin, also of Batesville; six grandchildren: Mia Griffin, Jenell Light, Mckenna Barton, Zackary Barton, Mason Griffin, and Felicity Light. Other survivors include two brothers, Jerrill Reeve of Batesville and David Reeve of Boise, ID; a niece, Tammy Grauberger of Prescott Valley, AZ and two nephews, Tyrel Reeve and Luke Reeve of Boise, ID.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry J. Reeve.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with Joel Krogen officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
