Jackie Ray Rounds, 65, of Batesville died Monday, October 5, 2009 at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Batesville. He was born in San Francisco, California on June 14, 1944 and was the son of Thomas Jack and Maggie (Petree) Rounds. Mr. Rounds was a member of the Allen Chapel Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Mark Martin and he also enjoyed fishing. His family, especially his grandchildren was the most important thing in his life. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Burrow) Rounds of Batesville; four daughters: Kristie Mobley of Southside, Kim Rielly of Pelham, New Hampshire, Lucie Mobley of Batesville, and Lea Rounds also of Southside; seven grandchildren: Geoffrey Parker, Nicole Mobley, Eric Reilly, Katie Rielly, Aaron Poff, William Poff and Gracie Poff; and one aunt, Lois Penn. His parents preceded him in death. Pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Dustin Kramer, Andy Burrow, Kevin Shaw, Kirk Shaw, and Tyler Burrow. Honorary pallbearers are Landon Kramer, Adam Jones, Corey Burrow, and Geoffrey Parker. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Roller-Crouch Chapel with Bro. Jim Bales officiating. Burial will follow the services at Egner Cemetery in Salado under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
