Dolly Wade, 76, of Batesville died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at White River Medical Center. She was born in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas on April 1, 1933 and was the daughter of James Homer Hester and Cora Eliza (Henry) Lacy. Dolly was a family oriented, faithful, conservative, modest and very Christ like person. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and vegetable gardening. Family gatherings were one of her favorite times and she loved to fix fried chicken and Christmas breakfast for them. Dolly was a great homemaker and a lifetime member of the Allen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Charlie and Cindy Wade of Batesville and Randy and Stephanie Wade also of Batesville; her daughter and son-in-law: Cathy and Rick Martin of Batesville; four grandchildren: Candy Hill, Chris Wade, Kyler Wade and Rachelle Wade; one great-grandchild: Charlie-Ann Wade; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Neldon and Linda Hester of Batesville and Marion and Virginia Hester of Judsonia; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Charles Hunt also of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Wade, Sr.; one daughter, Judy Wade; two grandsons: Brandon Wade and Scotty Lynn Hill; and one brother: Norman Hester. Pallbearers will be Bill Barker, Jimmy Cartwright, Vernon Kinion, Charles Hunt, Bobby England and Warren Wade. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Frontier Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Allen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Landers and Bro. Jonathan McEntire officiating. Burial will follow the services at Allen Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
