Helen L. Montani, 74, of Batesville, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born in Milan, Indiana on Saturday, April 20, 1935 and was the daughter of Earl and May (Perry) Rouse.
She retired as an insurance agent from the American Family Insurance Company after 24 years of service. Helen enjoyed craft fairs and local festivals. She enjoyed visiting with friends, taking drives and traveling. She was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed ice hockey and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Helen was a member of the West View Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended the First United Methodist Church in Cave City.
She is survived by one son: John Montani of West Olive, Michigan; one daughter, Yvonne Montani of Batesville, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Sadina Montani Boik of Washington, DC and Thomas Montani of Lansing, Michigan; and two great-grandchildren: Mathew Montani and Anthony Montani.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Rouse.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Cave City with Blake Langston officiating.
Cremation services are by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
