Larry Dean Ouverson, age 76, a resident of Peel, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, as a result of an auto accident.

Larry was born August 19, 1941 in Fertile, Iowa, the oldest son of Virgil and Virginia Ruth Ouverson. He was a graduate of Fertile High School Class of '61 and served his country in the United States Air Force where he trained in aircraft electrical mechanics. A Master electrician, Larry was a member of both IBEW Local 601 and UAW Local 31 in Kansas City, Kansas. After a number of years working for Union Pacific Railroad he was employed by General Motors at the Fairfax, Kansas plant until his retirement. Larry was a past Commander of VFW Post 5606 in Kansas City; an avid collector or WW II memorabilia; and enjoyed restoring older Ford vehicles and bass fishing. He was the proud owner of a fully restored 1956 Ford Victoria and a member of the Crown Victoria Association in Bryant, Ohio.

Larry is survived by his wife Judy of the home; his daughters: Jo Lynnda Krum of Kansas City, Missouri; Anngela Ouverson of Rockford, Illinois; Ericka Myers of Crown Point, Indiana; two brothers: Roger Ouverson (Susan) of Vinton, Iowa; Dennis Ouverson of Sebring, Florida; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; plus many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date in Kansas City, Missouri.
