J.T. McCracken, age 89, of Yellville, Arkansas entered into rest Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his home.
J.T. was born September 19, 1928 in Flippin, Arkansas to the late James Kirk and Elva Beth (Wilkerson) McCracken. J.T. was married to the love of his life, Hedda Mae Fain for 67 years. J.T. and Hedda were married Sunday, April 17, 1949 in Fairview, Arkansas. They spent the first five years of their marriage traveling from state to state while he served in the United States Army. J.T. and Hedda had a daughter, Theresa Elva Bell and a son James Farris McCracken on June 22, 1953 and May 1, 1957 respectively.
J.T. loved spending time with his family and friends, coon hunting, riding Missouri Fox Trotters and farming. He sincerely enjoyed visiting and cutting up with everyone he met. He was a member of Locust Church of Christ., lifelong farmer, and he worked 33 years for Arkansas Forestry Commission before retiring.
Mr. McCracken is survived by his son James Farris McCracken and his wife, Glenda, of Lead Hill, Arkansas; seven grandchildren: Jeff Bell and his wife, Lenora, of Lead Hill, Arkansas; Jesse Rudder and his wife, Anna, of Osage, Arkansas; Scott Bell; Andrea Smith and her husband, Carry; Bub McCracken; Alisha Wood and her husband, Neil, all of Lead Hill, Arkansas; Beth Melton and her husband, Jeremy, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 67 years, Hedda Mae McCracken; his daughter Theresa Bell; his great-grandson Layton Kirk McCracken; and three sisters: Connie Gilbert, Nelly Mae Hogan, and Ivory Albright.
J.T. will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, grandpa ''Pap'', uncle and friend who was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Visitation for Mr. McCracken will be 1:00 '''' 2:00 pm, Monday, April 23,2018 at Monarch Tabernacle.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Monarch Tabernacle with Jimmy Smith and Howard Saylors officiating.
Interment will follow at Keesee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Richard Bailey, Don Milligan, Tom Milligan, Roland Gilbert, Ronnie Gilbert, and Jamie Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Albright, Toni Gilbert, Todd Gilbert, Monte Fain, Ed Farmer, Howard Farmer and Todd Allen.
Arrangements are by Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

I am deeply sorry for your families loss. I have personally found comfort in the scriptures such as the one at Revelation 21:4 where we learn that soon suffering, pain and death will be no more. Again, I express my sympathies and hope you find comfort in this message.
