My Dear Friend Sharon,

I’m so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing. I’ll be praying for you, Colleen and Robin during this difficult time. Having known you for so many years, I was fortunate to have met your Mom throughout our shared school events. It was always obvious how much she loved her children and how proud she was of the talents you each have. Being your friend also afforded me the knowledge that your Mom was of strong faith and she has definitely laid a solid foundation for you and your sisters to stand strong on now. I know that you, Colleen and Robin will honor your Mother every day - just by being the wonderful women that she raised you each to be. Please know that I will not forget you and will continue to pray for you as you enter this part of your life’s journey. I hope you too will find, as I have, that the love you shared with your Mom is so strong that it goes beyond the grave and it’s these “threads of love” that will hold you close until you can be together once more.

With Love and Prayers,
Lisa Carter

Sharon,

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Even though I did not know your mother, I know how hard it is to lose a parent and I just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for the passing of your dear Doris.  Our wonderful and loving Creator Jehovah actually feels your pain, too.  He is such a merciful God who offers comfort during all times (2 Corinthians 1:3,4).  He has also given us hope in the form of the resurrection (John 5:28,29).  May these words provide you comfort during your time of grief.

Some of my most fond childhood memories were of visiting my Aunt Kay and Uncle Earl and playing with my cousins on their farm. We were always welcome and had much fun and laughter. Aunt Kay, my Mom (Sue Pettus) and my Aunt Glenda were close and caring siblings. They taught me that family transcends everything. Much love to you Aunt Kay and family.

Such an honor to know Kay and her family all these years. She was such a talented vocalist and has a great ear. When I was young she loved me like one of her on. Always a joy to be around. Even if she did make fun of the way I put ketchup on my food. Love you, Kay. See you soon.
