Charlotte Leona Cunningham Burton passed away March 12, 2018 at the Care Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
She was born February 10, 1915 in Cairo, West Virginia to George and Leafy B. Cantwell Cunningham. Charlotte was employed by the American Viscose Corporation in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and then was a homemaker. She was a long-time member of the Camden Avenue church of Christ in Parkersburg, and upon moving to Mountain Home was a member of the College and North Streets church of Christ.
She was married to Wade Burton on January 3, 1948 in Parkersburg. They were married until his death on February 17, 2004.
Her hobbies included watching birds, her Garden Club, working in her yard, and being a mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; by an infant daughter, Carolyn Fay Burton; by her siblings: James Cunningham, Viola Kellar, and George Cunningham, Jr.
Charlotte is survived by two children: Marilyn and her husband Jim Barr of Westerville, Ohio; Ken and his wife Diane Burton of Mountain Home, Arkansas; by four grandchildren: Jim and his wife Regina Barr of Henderson, Tennessee; Jennifer Burton Hanson of Worcester, Massachusetts; Justin and his wife Kathryn Burton of Highland Park, New Jersey; and Jon and his wife Jillian Barr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Amelia, Ryder, and Bryce Barr of Henderson, Tennessee; Emmett and Evers Burton of Highland Park, New Jersey; and Layla Jane Barr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held April 7, 2018 at the College and North Streets church of Christ at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10:00 until time for the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Charlotte was one of the sweetest Christian ladies I have ever known. Loved the times we spent together sharing recipes. I still use some of hers. May God be with her family during this difficult time. Love all of you💕
