Gorden Dale Clay, 73, of Trumann, passed away, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born in Marked Tree on June 2, 1944 to H.C. and Alice (Erwin) Clay. Gorden was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Trumann. He worked for American Greetings for 43 years. He enjoyed deer hunting and watching the Hogs with his grandsons.

Preceded in death by his parents, son, Dion Clay; sister Suzzie Michaels.

Survivors include, his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis Toombs Clay; daughter, Kris Jones, of Trumann; grandchildren, Clay Jones of Trumann and Jacob (Kayli) Jones of Jonesboro; brothers, Jimmy Clay of Lincoln Park, Maryland, Ronnie Clay of Jonesboro and Donald Clay of Caraway; sisters Shirley Kausler of Trumann and Doris Radloff of Dickeyville, Wisconsin.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 15, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Trumann at 1:00 pm with Bro. John Maley and Bro. Rick Stevens. Burial will follow at the Caraway Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Jones, David Kausler, Keith Michaels, Jon Carmichael, Barry Riley, Mike Riley, Freddy
Wilson and C.W. Toombs. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class and the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Trumann.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service.

Lasting memorials can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN., 38105 or the Arkansas Baptist Home for Children, 222 West Pope Avenue, Monticello, AR., 71655.

Kris and family - Even though I did not personally know your dad, I know how special he was and what he meant to all!! There are no words that anyone can say to take away the pain you are feeling.
