Marty Wayne Staggs

of Judsonia, AR

April 2, 1964 - August 18, 2017

Marty W. Staggs, 53, of Holly Springs went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 18, 2017 after a courageous three year battle against Multiple System Atrophy. He was born in Searcy on April 2, 1964 to Clentis and Nellie Williams Staggs.

He left behind a multitude of family and friends including his loving wife of 34 years, Rhonda Pate Staggs, daughter Jennifer White, parents Clentis and Nellie Staggs, sister, Gayla (Randy) Kuhn, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his special friend and guard dog, Stinker. Friends were very important to Marty and the names are too numerous to list.

Marty was a faithful member of Mt Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church at Clay and loved the Lord, his pastor, his church family and Mt Pleasant Baptist Academy students very much. His faithful attendance and positive attitude were an inspiration to everyone.

Marty was employed by Bryce Corporation for 30 years and made many lifelong friends. When he wasn't working at Bryce, he was spending time on his farm, S&S Hillside Farms, hunting, fishing or bossing Rhonda and Jennifer and anyone else that would let him be boss.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

Rhonda and Jennifer,
You both are on our minds, and especially our hearts.. I was able to spend time with Stephanie Butler on Saturday, and she shared some sweet stories about the "buddies" that worked together at Bryce, and just how special Marty is to so many people. Please call us if you need anything!

Rhonda, my heart aches for you at this painful time you're going through. Marty suffered for several years and he is finally pain free and I know that gives you some peace, but doesn't dull the pain. The good Lord will watch over you and I know you will turn to him for peace at this time. You are in my prayers, as well as your family and Marty's family.
