Betty Joyce McAdoo, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
She was born on May 21, 1933 in Needs Creek, Arkansas (Faulkner County).

Betty was a member of Central Baptist Church. She graduated from Greenbrier High School and the University of Central Arkansas. She retired as an English teacher and library media specialist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon McAdoo, her son, Patrick Theodore McAdoo, and her parents, Thomas Theodore ''Ted'' and Grace (Cardin) Williams.

Betty is survived by her son, Michael Leon McAdoo; her granddaughter, Katherine Michelle Vassallo; and her great-granddaughter, Emily Katherine Vassallo. She also had a special place in her heart and life for her brother, Bob and his late wife Mae Ellen Williams and their children and grandchildren.

Along with her love for her family and her church, Betty's life was enriched by wonderful friendships and fellowship.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Central Baptist Church and Bro. Don Chandler, College Square, Heritage Living Center, Kindred Hospice, Cynthia Tillman, Debbie Clarke, Ellen Shroyer, Joyce Nell Garrison, Mildred Patterson, Renee Hale and a host of other friends and family for their wonderful care and love for Betty.

The celebration of Betty's life will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas on Friday, April 28, 2017 and will be officiated by Brother Don Chandler of Central Baptist Church in Conway. Visitation will be at 2:30 pm with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow at Needs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her nephews: Clint Boone, Landon Jackson, Grant Williams, Whit Williams, Jack Williams, Brian Williams and Bill Jackson.

The family requests memorials be made to Central Baptist Church or to the Greenbrier School District account benefitting students in need.

We are so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Betty was one special lady. She looked forward to seeing Jesus and her husband and loved ones in heaven. She told me she would save a seat for her family and friends next to her in heaven. Can't beat having a friend like that!
