Mrs. Marguerite Jones

Mrs. Marguerite Jones, age 85, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at Care Manor Nursing Home in Mountain Home.
Mrs. Jones was born March 30, 1927, in Gassville, Arkansas to David Rolen and Rosa Mae Poynter Coplen. A lifetime area native, Mrs. Jones was an owner of Town and Country Discount Foods. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mountain Home. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed her grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Extension Homemakers Club, was a 4-H leader and enjoyed cooking for her church.
Survivors are three sons: James T. Jones: Koshkonong, Missouri, Shelby (Travis) Jones: Scott City, Kansas, and Philip S. (Sharli) Jones, Jr.: Mountain Home; one daughter: Julie (Ed) Randall: Gassville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip S. Jones, Sr., and two sisters: Ivon Campbell and Charlene Gould.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 4, 2012, in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dale Sykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Monday. Interment will be in Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
