Gary Lee Smith

Gary Lee Smith, 66 of Magazine, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on July 10, 1945 in Wylie, Texas to his parents Carl Raymond and Georgia Louis (Harris) Smith. He was a lifestyle trainer for the BHDC and a member of the First Baptist Church in Magazine.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Georgia Smith, one daughter Crystal June Howard, one sister Phyllis Starling and one grandson Bobby Tilden.

Gary is survived by his wife of 35 years Carol (Downs) Smith of Magazine, three daughters Sherry Lynn Tilden of Aubrey, Texas, Jeannette Varela of Conway, Arkansas and Veronica Lea Athey of Poteau, Oklahoma, two sons Cary Wayne Smith of Magazine, Arkansas and Paul Sims of Driggs, Arkansas, one sister Dr. Marylin Haller of Roanoke, Texas, two brothers Ronnie Smith of Wylie, Texas and Nickie Paul Smith of Commerce, Texas, twenty seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris officiated by Rev. Collin Slate. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
