Richard G. Blackstock

Richard G. Blackstock, 63, of Conway, passed away April 23, 2012. He was born March 17, 1949, in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Rudolph and Margaret Blackstock. He was employed by John Deere for 30 years. Richard has resided in Conway since 1996. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved to spoil his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Trevey and a nephew, Ryan Blackstock.

Richard is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane Blackstock; two children, Becky Weiser and husband, Sam, of Conway and Jeff Blackstock of Conway; a brother, Rudolph Blackstock and wife, Pat; four sisters, Karen Deweese, Sharon Myers, Pauline Strait and Paula Blackstock; two grandchildren, Sydney Weiser and Jeffrey Blackstock, Jr; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard’s memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012, in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, in Conway, with Bro. Mike Lefler officiating.
