Robert Wayne Smith, age 49, of Benton, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011. He was born on July 13, 1962 to Mary Ann and Jerry O. Smith in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Highway Church of Christ, an insurance salesman, and restaurant owner. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry O. Smith and his in-laws, Bill and Mary Croft.
He is survived by his wife, Lora (Croft) Smith of Benton; two sons, Keith Smith and Kevin Smith; one daughter, Carly Smith; his mother, Mary Ann (Smith) Wilson and step-father, Stan Wilson; three brothers, David Smith and wife, Karla, Adam Wilson and wife, Donna, and James Wilson, all of Benton; one sister, Trish Jones and husband, Ron of Benton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Greg and Camille Acord of Alexander; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P. M. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (501-315-4047).
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home in Benton with Bro. Jerry Almond officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Liberty Cemetery in Louann, Arkansas. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Chism, Greg Acord, Ron Jones, Josh Davis, Josh Teague, Leonard Towell, and C.J. Weatherford. Honorary pallbearer will be Homer Bradshaw.
The family request memorials may be made to Highway Church of Christ, 18514 Interstate 30 North, Benton, Arkansas 72015.

It's been just over a year since youve passed. Not a day goes by where I don't think about you. It's coming up on the time of year to get ready for deer season. That's when we would hang out the most. It's tough still. Every time I go to the farm I stop by the cemetery multiple times. Football is almost upon us and I know it would be time to yell for the horns. Remembering the good times is what keeps me going. I have a huge void in my life that will never be filled. I hope one day I can be half that dad that you were. I want to Take my kids hunting and fishing all the time and being there for every single thing they do. I love you dad and I miss you more than I could ever imagine. See you again one day...
