Carl L. Warner

of Jonesboro, AR

November 22, 1949 - May 12, 2011

Carl L. Warner, 61, of Jonesboro went home to be with the LORD on May 12, 2011 at Jonesboro, AR.

Carl was born in Berlin, Germany on November 22, 1949. He grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Cornell University. Carl and his wife Robin moved to Jonesboro recently from Southern California where they had resided for many years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Robin Elizabeth; and children, Kalendra Tara Solat (Philip), Ianthe Ilonka Warner (Trevor Schadewald), Stephen Collins Mills (Renee) all of upstate NY; stepdaughter, April Elizabeth Haas (Jason) Arvada, CO; sister, Ilonka Negley (Melvin), Richmond VA; grandchildren Kya and Ty Schadewald, Lania and Vona Mills, Daisy and Mayn Haas; and nieces and nephews.

Kalendra is grateful to her father for her gift of singing and reminds us that Carl was a talented singer and guitar player. Steven remembers his father as a unique thinker, extremely fun to be around and very much an inventor. Carl was always tinkering with things. He loved being silly with his grandchildren and loved to joke around with them.

Carl is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He created mechanical, electrical and electronic components of movie and television sets in Burbank. He built sets for Disneyworld Tokyo, Anaheim and Orlando theme parks, which was one of his dreams.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday May 14, 2011, Higher Trails Cowboy Church, 9728 Hwy 358 West, Paragould, AR led by Pastor Philip Brown.
Carl leaves behind his beloved horse Quinn and faithful dog Dusty.

The family extends their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Bernards Medical Center for their loving care of Carl during the past two weeks.

Memorials may be made to Higher Trails Cowboy Church.
