Tuer (Browning) Higgs, 104, a resident of Mayflower, Arkansas for the past 75 years, where she raised her family, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at her home. She was born June 8, 1906, in Pickles Gap, a daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Hall) Browning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Higgs; her children, Melvin ''Buck'' Higgs, Corene Hoover, Nadene Shaw, Jesse Higgs; two grandsons, James and Jerry Hoover; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Hudson.

She is survived by grandchildren, Peggy Hoover, Judy Turner, Bobby Hoover, Willie Hoover, Deborah Hickman, Penny Shaw, Joel Shaw, Sylvia Landers, Scott Hoover, all of Mayflower; Joyce Teas of Heber Springs; and Sharon Efird of Benton; 19 great-grandchildren, Tiffany Dycus, Terry Turner, Gerry Turner, Tim Turner, Holly Hudson, Tuer Kennard, Angelina Holt, Zac Teas, Alex Teas, Jimmy Hoover, Jesse Hickman, Andrea Goss, Alyssa Norris, Alana Efird, Amanda Ray, Logan Efird, Sarah Robertson, Richard McDaniel, Aaron Shaw; twenty-seven great great-grandchildren, Kalob Dycus, Nathan Dycus, Tad Turner, Courtney Turner, Brandon Turner, Brittany Turner, Taylor Turner, Tyler Turner, Landon Turner, Turner Hudson, Emily Hudson, Charity Kennard, Jackson Kennard, Seth Holt, Sidney Holt, Kaiden Teas, Brooklyn Hoover, Lily Goss, Ruby Goss, Gracie Goss, Gavin Robertson, step-great great-grandchildren, Haley Ferguson, Jordan Burns, Drake Wilkerson, Paige Wilkerson, Zac Wilkerson; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2010, at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, graveside service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, with Brothers Terry Turner, Buryl Dycus and Keith Morris officiating. Great-grandsons and great great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 501-327-7727.
