Elizabeth Coates, age 94, of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper. She was born in Abington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Rosner N. and Mabel (Clemmer) Triol. Along with her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers, Rosner N. Triol, Wilson C. Triol, Thomas F. Triol, and John C. Triol.
Elizabeth was a member of the Abington Presbyterian Church for many years where she was an elder of Family Bible Fellowship, a deacon, and president of the Women's Association. She was a graduate of Abington High School and the Mulvey Institute of Advertising and Journalism. Elizabeth retired from Sperry Corporation in 1984, where she was a graphic artist. She was associated with End-Time Handmaidens and Servants in Jasper since 1984 where she was Branch and Membership Coordinator. Elizabeth was a singer in many musical organizations and was a part of Red Cross Hospital Music in Philadelphia for 15 years, becoming chairman. She was a member of DAR, DAC, and DCW.
Elizabeth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Kate Coates; her grandson, Spencer Coates; her granddaughter, Cora Coates; and a host of other family.
Funeral service was Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Ozark Glory Tabernacle, Jasper, AR, with Rev. Larry Acton officiating. Visitation was an hour prior to the service.
Interment was in El Shaddai Gardens.
