William Thomas "Tom" Cartwright, age 71, of Longview, Texas, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in Treviso Transitional Care in Longview. He was born February 9, 1945, in Harrison, the son of Walter Carroll and Georgiana Irene (Branscum) Cartwright. Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Gordon Cartwright; and his wife, Regina (Windsor) Cartwright.
Prior to living in Longview, Tom had lived in Terrell, Texas. He worked at Garrison Motor Freight as a young man. After moving to Texas he did oilfield work, operated a service station, built and ran a barbeque restaurant and most recently worked for Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative as a dispatcher. He loved fishing, woodworking and dogs.
Tom is survived by his sons, Christopher Thomas Cartwright of Harrison, Paul Douglas Cartwright of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and Jimmy Windsor of Coos Bay, Oregon; his daughters, Sharry (Windsor) Conklin of Palestine, Texas and Deborah (Windsor) Rainey of Marshall, Texas; his sister, Patricia Mattingly, of Longview; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, May, 1, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Monday, May 2, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Dennis Sisco officiating.
Pallbearers were Jake Cartwright, Garrett Cartwright, John Cartwright, Gerald Cartwright, Donald Johnson and Jimmy Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff and caregivers of Treviso Transitional Care in Longview, Texas and Tom's personal caregivers, Therese Kenning, Curby Reese, Angelica Brooks and Blondie Harnage.
Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison, AR.
I haven't since Tommy since he came to my father's funeral in 1992 (Leon Cartwright). Thank you so much for the video. It meant a lot to me.

words spoken at John 5:28,29 "(28).Do not be amazed
at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the
memorial tombs will hear his voice (29). and come out,
those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and
those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
