Oliver Clayton Gibson, age 91, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015, at his home. He was born January 5, 1924, in Harrison Arkansas, the son of Otis Newton and Virgie (Dart) Gibson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maurine Gibson; his brother, Leo Dart; and his son, Tim Newton Gibson Bohannon.

Oliver worked for Boeing for 13 years, was a machinist, worked at Tankinetics, worked in the railroad industry and ran the projector at the Lyric Theater.

Oliver is survived by his son, John Clayton Gibson; his daughter, Judy Marie Miller; five grandchildren; and many friends.



Funeral service was Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Rob Davis officiating. Speakers were John Gibson and Paul Dart.

Pallbearers were Corey Dart, Catrina Gibson, Suzette Gibson, Joel Ray Williams, Calvin Laughlin and Paul Dart.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Uncle Oliver you will be missed by many. You was always so fun and kind when us kids would come with grandma and grandpa to Arkansas to see great grandma you always had something for us to do. You will be greatly missed. We love you.

Oliver was my mother's husband for nearly 40 years and dutiful to her until the day she died. He was well respected in our family and liked by us all. He was there when he was needed and for me personally, a hell of a guy. He will be missed.

Uncle Oliver the last time i saw you was when we buried mom i saw you hop in your pick up and drive away..We love you and hold you in a special place in our hearts. Your family circle is now unbroken give mom and dad and grandma and grandpa a hug for me
