John "Flip" Flippo, age 60, of Nashville, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, at his home. He was born September 2, 1954, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the son of James Sherman Flippo, Jr. and Lora Fern (Roberts) Flippo. He was preceded in death by his beloved father; and his uncle, Norman Flippo.
Johnnie married Connie Jackson October 22, 2001, in Nashville. He worked for Andrews Cadillac in Brentwood, Tennessee, for approximately twenty years. His wife, daughter, step-sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He truly enjoyed his pets, was a great prankster, and collecting and trading football cards was his great passion.
Johnnie is survived by his precious wife, Connie Flippo; his cherished daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Johnny Simon; two step-sons, Stephen Leaman and wife Melissa and Matthew Leaman; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his adoring mother, Fern Flippo; his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sarah Flippo; his treasured baby sister and her husband, Wanda and Richard McCrannie; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
So sorry to hear about Johnnie, he was a dear friend in school and a great help when we needed Chevy parts at our shop. Love and prayers for the family.
