Wanda Mae Hamilton, age 81, of Harrison, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. She was born August 17, 1933, in Tilly, Arkansas, the daughter of Willie and Elsie (Faddis) Fountain. Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Johnny Hamilton; and her son-in-law, David Hefley.
Wanda attended Olvey Bible Church. She had been a prior resident of Marshall, Arkansas for 35 years. She had been married to Norman Hamilton for 37 years. She retired from Levi Strauss and she and Norman owned and operated Norman's Bargain Barn in Marshall.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Bernetta Hefley, of Harrison; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Winifred and Denver Sullins of Valley Springs, Arkansas and Diann and Ronnie Dees of Greenbrier, Arkansas; her brothers and sisters-in-law, J. W. and Beverly Fountain and Darrell and Nancy Fountain, all of Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews; 1 very special grand dog, Willie; and many dear friends.
Visitation was Monday, April 13, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Olvey Bible Church, with Bro. Bob Brown officiating.
Interment was in Union Hill Cemetery, Tilly, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Jeff Fountain, Brock Fountain, Don Smith, Isacc Granado, Andy Granado and Ricky Bill Drewry.
Honorary pallbearers were Keri Fountain, Brenda Burris, Brenda Smith, Karla Petty, Dr. Kevin Jackson and his staff, Bob and Stacy Cash, Ashley and Cade Fountain, Amanda Nichols and Roger and Carlene Morris.
Memorials may be made to Olvey Bible Church, 9648 Hwy. 62 East, Harrison, AR 72601.

We are very saddened by the passing of our dear friend Wanda. She has always been very special to us and we will miss her. She fought a good fight and kept the faith. So glad we got to visit with her just a few days ago.

Oh the memories I remember when she was married to Bernard we would go visit them as they all grew up in Searcy County. Wanda was such a gracious and beautiful kind person. I am so sorry for your loss Bernita but, you know she is now with the lord and her loved ones. we will soon meet on the other side as my dad always sang the song Over There....
