Michael Ray ''Mitch'' Blevins, age 40, of Omaha, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Highlands of Harrison Orendorff. He was born August 25, 1974, in Harrison, the son of Carl and Shirley (Purdom) Blevins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bertie and Elva Blevins and Jess and Opal Purdom.
Mitch was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Omaha High School. He loved rodeos; boots since he was a little boy; and a big fairgoer.
Mitch is survived by his parents, Carl and Shirley Blevins, of Omaha; his sisters, Shanna Swatsenbarg of Omaha, Carla VanEvery of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and Leona Chipman of Omaha; his brother, Justin Blevins of Cleveland, Oklahoma; his aunt and uncle, Dave and Virgie Hammons, of Omaha; ten nieces; two nephews; a great-niece; a great-nephew; and many dear friends.
Graveside service was Friday, March 20, 2015, at Omaha Methodist Cemetery, with Bro. Dustin McCrickard officiating.
Pallbearers were Paul Syler, Aaron Anderson, Jody Swatsenbarg, Carl Roberts, Mike Woods and Dave Hammons.
Highlands of Harrison Orendorff staff were honorary pallbearers.
You may have left us all behind with tears of sadness & sorrow but you will remain in our lives forever in our hearts & fond memories we have had (but most of all we will miss getting to see your wonderful smile that could brighten any room) our family was truly blessed because we got to have you in it. You will be truly missed by all of your friends & family alike ! Anyone who had the privilege of having you as a friend or relative should consider themselves lucky, just like I do for having you as a brother!

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the loss of your loved one.In the scriptures Job 14:14,15 and John 5:28, God promises that he will resurrect our loved ones in the near future .I hope that Jehovah , the God of comfort grant you peace.
We are so sorry for your loss. Mitch was such a sweet soul and will be truly missed.
