Shirley Jean Farmer, age 79, of Bel Aire, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015. She was born September 23, 1935, in Boxley, Arkansas, the daughter of Walter and Ava Levoy (Edgmond) Fowler. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Farmer, on Friday, February 20, 2015; and her son, Rodger Farmer. She was a homemaker.
Shirley is survived by her son and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sue Ellen Farmer of Bel Aire, Kansas and Jackie Farmer of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, Matt Farmer and wife Kris, Stacia Farmer, Melissa Farmer, Tara Farmer and Dylan Forrester; her great-grandchildren, Zoe Forrester, Kaylie Bidwell, Keri Farmer, Mason Chappell, Talon Farmer and Atlin Farmer; and many dear friends.
Visitation was Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Boxley Baptist Church with services to follow visitation at Boxley Baptist Church, with Bro. Donnie Villines officiating.
Interment was in Beechwood Cemetery.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
I would like to express my sincere condolences to the loss of your loved one.In the scriptures Job 14:14,15 and John 5:28, God promises that he will resurrect our loved ones in the near future .I hope that Jehovah , the God of comfort grant you peace.
May God give comfort to the family of Shirley and Gary. I feel Blessed to have known them both.
