Dovie Dearing, age 86, of Harrison, Arkansas, died Saturday, February 28, 2015. Dovie was of Baptist faith and was saved at a early age. she was born July 28, 1928, at Formosa, Arkansas, the daughter of Richard Ford and Bessie Ledbetter Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Dearing; her sisters, Alam and Lovie; and her brothers, Ralph Lee, Kennith, and Clearance, Ford.
Survivors are her son, Richard Dearing and wife Kelly, of Plainview; her daughter, Cheryl Gonzales and husband Benny, of Harrison; her sisters, Earma Dunk, of Damascus and Willis Ford of California.
Dovie was a cook and worked for Valley Springs School. She was also a Dogpatch employee for many years. She was an excellent gardner and cook. She loved family get-togethers. She was a member of Olvey Homemakers Club.
Visitation is open.
Private graveside service was Friday, March 6, 2015, at Elmwood Cemetery.
