Jimmie "J. W." Wayne Moore

of Harrison, AR

November 28, 1948 - December 30, 2014

On December 30, 2014, Jimmie Wayne (JW) Moore of Harrison finally lost his battle with cancer. After 66 years of showing us how to do it, he left our world a better place than he found it. He was born November 28, 1948, in Graham, Texas, the son of Ewell Eugene and Sylvia Irene (Wright) Moore. He was the youngest of three children. J. W. was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell and Sylvia Moore; and his brother, Tommy Moore.

The family, with sister Johnnie and brother Tommy, moved to Arkansas when he was four years old and he graduated from Green Forest High School in 1966. He married Margaret Ann McCaleb in 1972 and they raised two sons, Chris and David. The majority of his working years were spent at Harrison Furniture and Pace Industries in Harrison. In recent years, his happiest times revolved around his grandsons, Ashton and Isaac.

J. W. is survived by his wife, Margaret Moore, of Harrison; his sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Amy Moore of Fayetteville and David and Mandy Moore of Harrison; and his grandsons, Ashton and Isaac Moore, of Harrison. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and Harold Williams, of Enon, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Sharon Moore, of Harrison; his nieces and nephews, Hal Williams of Rainier, Washington, Jan and Marvin Estes of Harrison, Cindy and Todd Ward of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Anitra Williams of Enon, Ohio; his great-nephews, Logan Estes and Alex Ward; and his great-niece, Kira Williams. He is also survived by close friends and conspirators, Jim Starkey, Dale Randall, Windel Sneed, and special friends Van and Jan Younes.

Visitation was January 2, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, followed by a private family graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Hospice of the Hills, PO Box 1927, Harrison, AR 72602.
