Billie Jean Rowe, age 67, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Hospice House in Harrison. She was born March 22, 1947, in Harrisville, Michigan, the daughter of Roy Nelson and Ethel L. (Pinder) LaLonde. Billie was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Carol Pahlkotter.
Billie Jean was fiercely independent. She loved and spoiled her grandchildren and Fawnie, her Chihuahua. She was always trying to help someone and found good in anything. She loved gardening, reading, and crossword and word search puzzles.
Billie Jean is survived by her mother, Ethel LaLonde; her sons and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carrie Black, Sr. of Jasper, Arkansas and Donald Walker of Harrison; her daughter and son-in-law, Gerrie Lynn and David Parker of Lead Hill, Arkansas; her sisters, Joan Platt and Bobbie LaLonde; and her brother, Sonny LaLonde.
Billie Jean is also survived by her grandchildren, David Allen Parker, Jr., Kyle S. Parker, Benjamen Parker, Steven Black, Jr., Tiffany Black, Robert Black, Keith Bailey, Tasha McCoy, Garson Selms, Shamra Selms and Montgomery Walker; her great-grandchildren, Adalind Parker, Landon Glenlin, Dominic Armstrong and Trinity Black; a host of other family; and many dear friends.
Memorial service was Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

I was one of the nurse's that took care of Billie Rowe at Hospice house. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. May God wrap his arms around you all and comfort you in your loss.
