Patrick G. Wiltermuth, age 70, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. He was born in Winthrop, Minnesota to Dale and Rita McGillivray Wiltermuth on July 26, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George and Richard; and his sister, Gayle.

Pat joined the Army December 19, 1961, being assigned to Company B 1st Battalion Airborne 327th Infantry Third US Army and received an Honorable Medical Discharge December 18, 1964. He moved to Harrison in 1992 and married his sweetie, better known to others as Sue, August 1, 1992. He worked as a car salesman and retired from Chrysler Corporation in Berryville. Pat was a great man of faith; he loved his church and church family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. The great-grandkids have many fun memories of Grandpa Pat taking them fishing, cooking for them, and playing games. Pat was a sweet, generous, loving man and always thought of others before himself. He will be greatly missed.

I went to St. Paul Park high school with Pat in Minnesota. I lost track of him when he joined the Army. It is sad to be losing so many classmates. My condolences to his family.

We count it a blessing to have known Pat. We appreciate his devotion to the church and his willingness to drive the bus or whatever he could do to help. We pray peace and comfort to Sue and all of his family and those that love and will miss him. We will miss his smiling face and contagious laughter.
