Jeremy Brian Speck

of Helena, AR

April 3, 1975 - May 29, 2018

Jeremy Brian Speck, 43, was born in Osceola, AR. He is survived by his parents, Karen and Don Speck of Helena, AR.; his sister, Lesley Speck Johnson and her husband, Charles Johnson of Clarksdale, MS.; his sister, Emily Speck of Helena. He leaves behind nieces, Lucy Kate, Emma and Virginia and nephew, Bryant Johnson. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucille and B.A. McCann; Dorothy and Leslie Speck; niece and nephew, Avery and Bryant Parks Johnson; and cousin, Benny ''Boy'' McCann.

Jeremy was a 1993 graduate of DeSoto High school and attended Arkansas State University. He loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. His other special love was for all sports with his family. His passion for agriculture began while working for his dad on the family farm. This led him to begin a career in farming that lasted many years. He was currently employed by Ingram Barge Company.

He passed away on May 29, 2018 suddenly and unexpectedly. Jeremy's huge heart for others led him to be an organ donor that insures his legacy will live on in the lives of over 100 recipients.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Second Baptist Church, 302 E. Baldwin Ave, West Helena, AR 72390.

A funeral service for Jeremy Speck will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Second Baptist Church in West Helena. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Randy Williamson will officiate.

Karen I am so sorry for you and your family for the loss of your son. I know how hard it is to lose your child , I lost my oldest son in 2010 to cancer but unlike you i was expecting it he lived almost a year after he was diagnosed .It is never easy but with Gods help it does get a little easier. My heart hurts for the pain I know you are enduring though. If there is anything I can do call me. My cell phone number is 995-3415.

Don, Karen and Family, Henry and I are so sorry about sweet Jeremy! He was such an inspiration for everyone, and so thoughtful. I can remember times he visited Henry and J.V. when they were in hospital with Brother Randy. You could see his love for the Lord in his face. He will be missed by everyone that was blessed to have him in their life, and we are so happy he was in ours. Much love to everyone as you go through this sad time. Sweet memories will help with your pain. Henry and Billie Sue Rohrscheib
