Dad I'm sure Ms Mary and Joe met you at the gate. We sure have missed the KB Blues Festival, barbeque cookoff, and family time with you and Jay. Sorry we can't be there for your earthly goodbye, but I'm only a week out of the hospital and can't do much of anything yet.

Jay we are only a phone call away.

Praying that God will give you comfort and strength during this time. Enjoyed the times we went in to Jay's and ate. Always enjoyed his chicken and BBQ pizza. Never have found any like it since.

My heart is very heavy to hear about J. V. He was a super person with an amazing smile at all times. His Mother and my Mother worked together when we were kids at Walridge Knitting Mill (might have mispelled since it has been a long time ago) so we sort of grew up together. He was a very hard worker and gave many young kids jobs, including mine.
Many people will miss J. V. My prayers are for your comfort knowing he is now living with the Lord. Bless you and your family during this sad time.

Jay, your Dad cooked and served me the very first pizza I ever ate back in the early 1960s and it was wonderful. He was a fine man and a good friend. Our sympathy and prayers go out to you and the rest of the family.

Sincerely,
Jim & Hazel Williams

Jay, your Dad was such a sweet person. When I visited Jay's Drive In, your Dad was always trying to please the customer. I recall the service that was available for the students at noon for DeSoto School and it was great to get the barbecue pizza.

You are in my thoughts.

Dear Family: My heart goes out to you as you go through the days ahead. I know this is a profound loss to you as a family. JV was one of the hardest working people I have ever known. He loved his family beyond measure. Thinking of you and hoping you will find comfort in each other. I am honored and blessed to have known JV and will never forget him Your family is in my prayers.

I have known J V ever since we were age 17. We were in the Naval Reserve together and have been friends ever since. We often met at the Post Office in Helena and talked about old times.I saw him just a few days ago, at the Post Office and shared a few kind words with each other. He was a good man. The world was a better place with him here, but he deserves to be with Jesus and all the other good people in Heaven. I will miss him very much.

Thinking of family and friends during this time of our loss. We have memories that will last forever, laughter from times past and during this time of our sadness on earth he has began the happiest times for eternity. Our loss, heavens gain.
