Larry Eugene Burke, age 74, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Wynne. Mr. Burke was born March 24, 1943 in Mellwood to the late Louis Burke and Inez Jones Burke. He was a member of Elaine Baptist Church and he worked as a welder for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Carey Burke; two sons, Jeff Burke (Robbie) of West Helena and Larry Burke, Jr.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his mother, Inez Burke of Elaine; two sisters, Pat Johnson (Jerry) of Elaine and Eva Wise (Bob) of Coldwater, Mississippi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Jan Burke.
The family will have a memorial service for Larry Burke to be announced at a later date.

I just learned of Larry passing. I grew up around
wabash and Elaine and knew him and his family well.
we were both in Viet Nam at the same time and I ran into him once near Da Nang. It made me feel good to see someone from home. My prayers are with his family.

So sorry to learn of Larry's death. He was in our wedding in 1959. My husband was James Medlin (Humko) and grew up in Wabash/Elaine. He died in 2011. He loved the many friends he made growing up in Wabash/Elaine. Larry, Eva and Pat were among those friends. Thinking of you at this time.

I have known Larry about Fifty years worked with him and been Friends with him, and have gone to Church with him, I was so Glad he got Saved! May the Lord Be with His Family and I pray The Lord Comfort Each Family Member and Larry’s Many Freinds, and if there be one that doesn’t know Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that some way Larry’s Death might draw you to Jesus.
