Floyd R. Guest, age 74, of Judsonia, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his home. Mr. Guest was born December 1, 1942 in Marvell, Arkansas to the late Zenellar and Opal Guest. He was a retired farmer for Coleman Storey Farms and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. Mr. Guest was a member of Baugh Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Griffith (Andrea) of Hollendale, Florida; stepson, John Shaw of Dardanelle; three daughters, Tammy Mandrell (Johnny) of Judsonia, Christy Wilson (Carl) of Ward and Polly Pettey (Darrell) of Ward; stepdaughter, Marty Bender of Dardanelle; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Jean Griffith (Jimmy) of Ward and Margie Aaron of Marvell; brother, Shelton Lee Guest (Nina) of Marvell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia Lee Burkett; and wife, Judy Mae Anderson.
A graveside service for Floyd Guest will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Eventide Cemetery in Marvell. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Brother Gary Maskell will officiate.
Pallbearers are Devan English, Zac Griffith, Perry George, Chess George, Drew Baker and Barrett Stark. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Bartlett and C.J. Pettey.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
