James E. ''Lanky'' Holland, age 73, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home. Mr. Holland was born September 24, 1942 to the late James and Myrtle Holland. He retired as an assistant plant manager from Scoular.
He is survived by two daughters, Pam White (Johnny) and Kim Keirsey (Lee), both of West Helena; five grandchildren, Matt Steinbeck, Josh Steinbeck, Lexi Gibbs, Brittany Mitchell and Hanah Keirsey; five great-grandchildren, Kylee Steinbeck, Anthony Steinbeck, Rhiley Steinbeck, Hudson Gibbs and Macie Gibbs; two brothers, Kenneth Holland (Betty) of Marion and Johnny Holland of Hot Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances ''Betsy'' White Holland; and two brothers, Conerd Holland and Herbert Holland.
A funeral service for James Holland will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Fred Garrison will officiate.
Pallbearers are Matt Steinbeck, Josh Steinbeck, Cliff Clark, Chuck Ledbetter, Eric Holland and Eddie Green.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Delta and Meals on Wheels care of Leslie Galloway.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
