Charles Wages, age 82, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Wages was born August 3, 1933 at Hughes, Arkansas to the late Isaac and Sadie Wages. Mr. Wages was a member Helco Hunting Club, American Legion, and a lifetime member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jimmie Wages; four sons, Charles Randy Wages (Rachel) of Hot Springs, Sandy Wages of West Helena, Jeff Wages (Tracey) of Helena, and Mike Wages (Tina) of West Helena; ten grandchildren, Brandy Thorton (Chris), Daniel Wages, Hannah Wages, Jeremy Wages (Star), Josh Wages (Jana), Talyn Wages, Madison Wages, Lauren Warren (Chad), Jennifer Ray and Torey Wages; four great-grandchildren, Liam Warren, Cole Wages, Kaylee VonKanel and Shyanne Thorton; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Michael Thorton; and eight brothers and sisters.
A graveside service for Charles Wages will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Lance Madden will officiate.
Pallbearers are Tayln Wages, Adam Buford, Daniel Wages, Torey Wages, Jeremy Wages and Josh Wages. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Buford, Anthony Biggs and Jeff Lowery.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Delta.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

We are saddened to hear of Mr. Charlie's passing. He was a great friend of my dad's and a wonderful friend of our family. He was so kind and funny. I know you all have so many special memories of him! We pray that you all are comforted by God's love.
Mr. Wages was a longtime customer at H&M. We will miss him coming in. We will be praying for his family.
So sorry to hear about Charles. He will be missed by many.
Words can't explain how much you will be missed, Papaw. You were the only grandfather I have ever known. I know you are in a better place now & I will see you again some day... Rest in peace, Charles Augusta.
Charlie was a much loved and respected member of the Helena Electric Company family for many years. Always had a smile, and kind word for everyone. I will never forget his kindness, and gentle spirit. Love to all his family from all of mine.
So sorry to hear about Charlies death. I have a lot of great memories of him and our hunting trips on Helco and White river ! I will sure miss him. My prayers are with you Ms. Jimmie and the family ! God bless everyone! Jeff and Jannie
