Sonny Salter, age 74, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at his home. Mr. Salter was born December 26, 1940 at Ashdown, Arkansas to the late Lucius Victor Salter, Jr. and the late Sallie Williams Salter.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie Cooper Salter; two sons, Thomas Salter (Jennifer) and Darron Cooper (Stacy); daughter, Mary Anne Ross (Joshua); five grandchildren, Chase, Madison, Devin, Kaylan and Tyler; and a sister, Mary McCord.
A service for Sonny Salter will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Richard Dickenson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Eddie Rohrscheib, James Rohrscheib, Doug Rohrscheib, Richard Rohrscheib, Derward Mauldin and Richard Phillips.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.

I'm so sad to hear about my Uncle Sonny, he was a very special to me, I haven't been able to go visit with him in years because I lost my sight, but hes gone home to be with all the family that's waiting on him with open arms.hes at peace. Mrs. Bobbie, Dale and I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Sonny. He is at peace with our Good Lord! He was such a good friend to so many in our community and never met a stranger.
