Thomas "Tommy" Douglas Brown

of West Helena, AR

February 26, 1954 - August 1, 2014

Thomas Douglas Brown, age 60, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at Little Rock, Arkansas. Tommy was born February 26, 1954 at Helena, Arkansas to the late Ivan Brown and the late Ruby Ingram Brown.

Tommy worked and traveled the world with his nuclear family. He was very fortunate to have his family at home and his ''nuclear family'' on the road. He enjoyed golfing on courses throughout the United States and coming home occasionally to visit with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Muffoletto Brown; grandchild, Ronni Peyton Wolfe; sister, Linda Ford (Robert) of Barton, Arkansas; and two brothers, Ivan Brown (Mary Carol) of Forrest City, Arkansas and Robert Brown (Jeannie) of Memphis, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Instead of a memorial service, Tommy's wishes were to have a toast to celebrate his wonderful life.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice.

Tommy was my cousin and he was a kind person. He always told me how he loved family and any time the family would get together. He enjoyed reminiscing about when we were growing up and how the whole family always got together some where. Maybe at Storm Creek or at someones house. Tommy loved it. He really enjoyed the fellowship. He will be missed by all. Hope he is having a reunion with the folks who have gone on, especially his mom and dad.

I'm so very sorry at the loss of my dear cousin. I'll always remember his zest for life and appreciate the visits we had while he was in the hospital. May we all find some comfort in God's promise that we will all be with him in heaven one day. Until that time, may his sweet memories fill our hearts with joy and happiness and bring a smile upon our face. I'll pray for comfort and peace for all of us.

My dear aunt Shirley, I do know exactly how you are feeling. You know, mine happened this month last year.
Concentrate on the peace he has now and no pain. That is the only thing that keeps me going even now. My prayers are going up for you and Tommy...
If there is anything, large or small, I can do for you, call or come. Or call AND come. Love You

Shirley I am so sorry for your great loss! Tommy was a great man to know and also a great friend. We have known each other since 1968 in West Helena. We helped keep his Dad in business, we would wreck our cars that we had and his Dad would rebuild them in his Body Shop! He was a professional at his NDT work. I moved away and we lost touch but after a while he started comming to ANO during outages to do NDT work, well that was what I did during outages so we got back together and I was part of his Nuclear family! I will miss Tommy very much because he was not only a friend but also a working companion! Again I am so sorry for your loss if I can be of assistance let me know!
