Gwendolyn King, 90, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 20, 2012. Mrs. King was born November 28, 1921 in Marion, Mississippi to H. C. Jones and Ruth Carroll Jones.
Mrs. King is survived by 1 granddaughter, Susan Huff (Watt): and 1 grandson, Homer King; 1 great granddaughter, Katie Huff; 1 daughter-in-law, Phyllis King all of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas.
Preceding her in death are her parents, H. C. and Ruth Carroll Jones, her husband, Homer King; 2 children, Wilma Leatherman and Richard King; twin sister, Geraldine Grantham; 2 other sister Lois Moore and Erma Nolan.
Mrs. King was a faithful member of The Fourth Street Baptist Church as long as her health allowed her to attend.
1:00 P. M. services will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 5-7 P. M. also at the Chapel of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park at Barton, Arkansas. Reverend Rodger Hooker will Officate. |
