James "Jim" BellI am a Veteran.

April 8, 1940 - September 16, 2017

James Victor Bell, also known as ''Jim'' or ''Foxtail'' was born on April 8, 1940 in Charleston, Arkansas and went to be with God on September 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James Lenus and Anna Irene (Rogers) Bell and one sister, Thomaseen Maddox.

Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat Bell of Paris; his sister, Cassaleen Smith of Austin, Arkansas; his children, Mike Bell and wife TJ of Booneville, Shawna Bell of Barling, John Bell of Paris, Autumn Bell of Paris and Zoie Bell of Paris; his grandchildren, Irene Rose, Alex Rose and Tate Bell and his great-grandchildren, Cameron Bell, Addilynn Young and James Cyrus Bell who is due to arrive January of 2018.

Jim never met a stranger, he was friendly and joyous and known by many. He was involved in the VNVLV/MC and many other clubs which gave him many life long friends and brothers. He was the light on a dark day to lift anyone's troubles. He loved his family, friends and fur babies. His love comforts us knowing he is watching us from above as we continue our lives.

A service will be given by his brother, Denny Jarman and the rest of Chapter A Motorcycle Club at the VFW in New Blaine, Arkansas on October 1, 2017. Anyone who would like to celebrate Jim ''Foxtail'' Bell's life is welcome to attend. The family will gather in Mena, Arkansas to say their goodbyes as he is laid to rest with his family in a beautiful cemetery.

Cremation arrangements under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sebastian County Humane Society in Jim's honor at P.O. Box 10953, Fort Smith, AR 72917.

Pat and the Bell Family
I graduated with Jim and have so many wonderful memories of Jim in high school. It was strange that Jim and I both ended up in Arkansas. We only saw each other twice but it was a great meeting. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family and you Pat. So, so sorry for your loss.

I just heard; my heart just ached for Pat and family. I know that my son Brian met you when you entered heaven. And we will have the best Oxnard High reunion when we see you again. Get ready to lead that cheer. Tleaves

I lost a friend when Jim Bell passed away. Pat, and all your and Jims family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I got to know Jim while working with him at Lakeland Real Estate in the late 1970's. I'll never forget his laugh, and, in all the years I've known Jim, I've always known him to be a Gentleman. Always friendly, always jolly. But, I have to admit, in the last few years, I've grown jealous of him.......he had more hair than I do!! God bless you Jim, rest in peace.

Pat and family, so sorry to hear of Jim's death. He was always bigger than life! Always tried to make people laugh and he always had a smile for everyone. I don't think anyone could have enjoyed life more than Jim did. I know you all have so many memories of him and his stories. Enjoy those together. Prayers for each of you!
