I am deeply saddened to hear of Ray's passing. We were cousins by blood but we were more like brothers in heart. I remember all the fishing and hunting we did as kids. The times we spent the night at grandmas house so we could get up early to go hunting together. How she would have our socks and shoes by the fire so our feet would not freeze. Working beside Ray at the chicken plant all day long hanging those live birds on the line. Funny, how at the time, we think things are so bad...but then 20 years later they become the best times of our lives. But kids grow up...one goes one way, one goes another, you meet someone and your life turns in another direction...the days turn into months...the months into years and you lose track of time (and it goes by so very quickly). Time has put distance between us but I want you to know that I never forgot. It was when times got tough for me, I was able to remember the times we had as kids and that made my life easier. When a person passes away and the people who knew that person say that their life is better because of him or her, you have lived a great life...and I can say that about my friend Ray Len. Rest in peace, Ray...and to your loved ones I pray God will give you peace in this sorrowful time...David (ricky) Criswell
