Walter H. (Mack) Byrd, 80, a resident of Paris passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, in Paris.

He was born February 3, 1937, in Paris to the late Montgomery and Gracie (Ellingburg) Byrd. Walter was a member of Poole's Temple Church in Paris. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Byrd and James Howard Byrd and two sisters, Laura Ann Johnston and Fannie Mae Smith

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Thomas and Divan Davis, both of Paris; a brother, Jordan Byrd and his wife, Wanda of Paris; a special niece, Rubye Wise and her husband, Rev. M.D. Wise of Paris and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with Pastor Cleveland Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Gray Rock Cemetery near Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Milton Richards, Richard Richards, Terry Young, Kevin Swafford, Da'Kovan Wise, Calvin Eubanks, Jr. and Jimmy Jones. Adrine Wise, Calvin Eubanks, Sr., Robert Thomas and Rev. M.D. Wise will serve as honorary pallbearers.
