James ''Jim'' Bowman, 70 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 09, 2017 in Paris. He was born on September 15, 1946 in Jethro, Arkansas to his parents J.W. and Faye (Barnett) Bowman. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving in the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39 in Paris.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Faye (Barnett) Bowman; his wife of 41 years Geraldine Bowman; one daughter, Rita Duvall Riggs; one son, Jeff Quijada; two sisters, Carolyn Bowman and Georgia Lancaster; two brothers, Larry Bowman and Kenneth Bowman and two grandsons, Tyson Duvall and Dakota Quijada.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Madeline Quijada of Paris, Mary Storts of Paris and Florence Kelsey of Paris; four sisters, Margie Bowman of Van Buren, Edna Bowman of Van Buren, Shirley Reed of Eureka Springs and Rhonda Covero of Van Buren; one brother, Don Bowman of Coweta, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris officiated by Bob Pruitt. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Hunt Town with Military Honors under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39.

He will be missed. Strong willed with a big heart. Thank you for letting me be part of his life.
Jim will be missed at the Family reunion. I enjoyed talking to him and getting a Christmas card from him. Prayers for the family in this time of loss and grief.
